As the release of GTA 6 draws closer, reports of leaks are increasing. After a brief silence, an anonymous leaker named Cyberleek has returned. This time, he has posted a new 25-minute video, which is being widely shared on the r/GamingLeaksAndRumours subreddit and social media. Tyler Wilde of PC Gamer has written an interesting report on this.

What is there in the video?
Cyberleek has been posting clips for a while now that are allegedly taken from a development build of GTA 6. The new video’s most talked-about feature is the fact that the game’s main character, Jason, appears naked for a significant amount of time. Reports indicate the character’s body is fully modeled, even with physics. According to the author, this isn’t surprising, as previously leaked clips have also featured fully nude NPCs.

Will this happen in the final game as well?
That’s the biggest question, and no one has an answer for it at the moment. The reason is that Cyberleek likely has access to developer tools. The middle of the video shows a tank floating in the air, which clearly indicates that console commands have been tampered with.

There are a few other things worth noting:
- The surrounding NPCs do not react to Jason’s condition.
- The video also shows first-person driving, while earlier reports had said that GTA 6 would not have this feature.
- Co-protagonist Lucia also appears topless in one scene, with her back to the camera. Whether this was a choice by the leaker or because the game’s decency rules are unevenly enforced is unclear.
It’s also worth noting that IGN’s official preview of GTA 6 featured Jason naked in a cutscene, but the camera angles were positioned to obscure everything. So, what happens in the final game remains an open question. This wouldn’t be the first time, however. GTA 4’s The Lost and Damned DLC previously featured a similar glimpse of a key male character.

Author’s View: Why doesn’t this seem like such a big deal now?
What’s most interesting to Tyler Wilde is how normal all of this seems today. He remembers how even Fox News anchors were enraged by the alien characters in Mass Effect. Similarly, the famous “Hot Coffee” controversy from GTA is still fresh in people’s minds.
He also acknowledges that even today there are factions on the internet screaming in the name of “traditional values.” Yet, games like Baldur’s Gate 3, which presented characters with elaborate body and underwear-like backstories, didn’t generate much outcry from conservative critics. Perhaps, the author argues, it’s simply harder to stand out in today’s noisy environment.
The bigger reason, in his opinion, is that games are now mainstream and the average age of their players has increased. So they’re able to do what Hollywood has been doing for years. He cited his colleague Andy Chalk’s comment that GTA has won its battles: its specials air on Netflix, appear on NBA jerseys, are sold at Walmart, and even the state of Florida is adopting it.
Another interesting aspect is that once the game comes to PC, modders won’t allow any restrictions anyway.

Vigilance is necessary on Cyberleak
There’s a word of caution to this news. According to the author, Cyberleek is again claiming to have a “project” underway and asking people to invest. Tyler Wilde strongly advises against doing so. Take-Two and Rockstar are still searching for the leaker, but no new information has emerged recently.
Our opinion
As exciting as the leaks may seem, they’re from development builds and don’t necessarily reflect the final game. Don’t take any changes or features they reveal as certain until Rockstar officially announces them. It’s also wise to avoid links or funding claims from such leakers.
