Nurse Harrow Finally Joins Deadlock: 110 Million Votes and One Player Who Voted 1,000 Times

If you play Valve’s Deadlock, the hero voting season probably felt like a festival. Tied to the ā€œCity Never Sleepsā€ update, the vote has now wrapped up, and Nurse Harrow has been confirmed as the last hero to join the roster. PC Gamer news writer Elie Gould covered the results on 21 October 2026, and the numbers Valve shared make for a great story.

The Heroes Who Made It

The voting worked in rounds, with one hero chosen at a time. First came Rat King, then Baba, Solomon, Deadman Danny, Violet, and finally Nurse Harrow, a support hero known for some pretty unorthodox methods.

Gould says she noticed some seriously devoted Nurse Harrow fans from the very start, so seeing her land in last place was a surprise. Of course, in the final round she was the only option left standing.

110 Million Votes, One Very Dedicated Fan

Valve’s numbers are the real highlight:

  • 110 million votes were cast across the entire event.
  • 22,194 players voted exclusively for Nurse Harrow.
  • One player cast exactly 1,000 votes for her.

Think about that for a second. One person clicked the vote button a thousand times for their favorite hero. Valve itself pointed to this as a sign of real dedication, and it’s the detail that has people talking.

Her Fans Can Actually Play

Here’s the part that made me smile. According to Valve, players who voted for Nurse Harrow consistently had a higher win rate than voters for any other hero. So her supporters aren’t just loud, they’re good.

Gould joked that she didn’t vote for Nurse Harrow, yet the stat still seemed to describe her perfectly. It’s a lighthearted line, but it adds a fun twist to the whole story.

A Close Race for Second Place

The tightest contest of the event was Baba versus Solomon for second place. Gould voted for Solomon but wasn’t too upset when Baba won. Baba has excellent mobility and melee, and she can turn enemies into pigeons, which Gould clearly loves.

ā€œI’m Just Not Like Other Deadlock Playersā€

Gould also shared a funny stat about herself. She’s one of 36,236 players who voted in every round but never once picked that round’s winner. (Nurse Harrow doesn’t count here, since she was the final option left.)

For comparison, only 847 players voted in every round and picked the winner each time. In other words, the number of people who can see the future in Deadlock is almost zero.

A Little Sadness as the Event Ends

Gould admitted that watching the voting end left her a bit melancholy. In her view, community events like this are a blast and well run in Deadlock, but there’s no telling when the next one will arrive. Valve moves at its own pace, as she put it.

The Bigger Picture: City Never Sleeps

This vote was part of the ā€œCity Never Sleepsā€ update, a large release that gave the game’s city a spooky new look and introduced six new heroes. Among them is Rat King, who has more than 100 voice lines dedicated to throwing rats at you. Many players see this update as one of the game’s biggest shake-ups yet.

Why This Story Matters

Beyond the fun trivia, this story shows how engaged Deadlock’s community is. Over 110 million votes is a huge turnout, and one player voting a thousand times for their favorite hero shows how passionate some fans are. Now that Nurse Harrow is in the game, it will be interesting to see whether her unusual support style changes how matches play out, and whether her voters keep proving they’re the better players.
