The GTA 6 leak story has taken another twist. A leaker calling himself Cyberleek has now placed a strange condition before Take-Two Interactive. He says that if the company leaves him alone, he will never reveal the game’s ending. But if something happens to him, all the story’s secrets will be revealed. He has dubbed this a “dead man’s switch.”

What did Cyberleek say after all?
According to a report by PC Gamer, Cyberleek posted a message on his now-defunct website. It was saved and shared by “GTA VI News” on X. In the message, the leaker claims to have the full ending of GTA 6. He even considered releasing it, but decided it would ruin the fun for players through no fault of their own.
The gist of the message is that Take-Two won’t offer him any concessions, so why should he show mercy to the company? Still, he feels the company has already been punished enough. Therefore, the ending will remain unpublished for now.
To provide “proof” of his point, he’s also included clips from the game’s final missions. These clips are cut out of context and don’t reveal any major story details. According to the leaker, Dead Man’s Switch is on and contains only story spoilers. If it’s not teased, it will never be released, and if it’s removed, the person who removed it will be responsible.

What is a dead man’s switch?
It’s a tactic often seen in movies. In this, someone arranges for a major disaster to occur if they themselves become incapacitated. Simply put: “If something happens to me, you’ll be in trouble.” Author Andy Chalk compares it to a movie scene where the enemy retreats by pulling out the pin of a grenade.

Is pressure mounting on the leaker?
The article raises an interesting question: Is Cyberleek’s sudden retraction a sign that the screws are tightening? Take-Two already takes such matters very seriously. GTA 6 is its biggest project to date, so the company’s strictness will be equally high. Previous reports also indicated that Take-Two had issued subpoenas (legal notices) to Microsoft and Discord seeking records in search of the leaker.
The author anticipates that if Cyberleek is caught, his troubles will escalate rapidly.
The biggest weakness of this “bargain”
Whatever pressure Cyberleek has, it’s short-lived. According to the report, the end of GTA 6 will be revealed to players in six weeks at most. This “threat” will be ineffective once the game is released, as there will be nothing left to hide. According to the author, this may simply give the leaker more time to hide elsewhere. And even this hope is overly optimistic, as Take-Two may be working quietly, but it will be pursuing this case with full force.

Cleanliness on crypto controversy too
In the same message, Cyberleek also addressed his cryptocurrency request. He says it was always a “donation,” not an investment. He also denied accusations of “rugpulling” the money and running away. He also explained that the full build of the game, i.e., the version played up to the end of the story mode, was not released because the market cap of his Mimecoin had not reached $30 million.
The same leaker recently leaked about four minutes of Lucia’s prologue from GTA 6. He also demanded an apology from Rockstar and Take-Two and a “solid commitment to do better.”

What does it mean for the players?
For those waiting for GTA 6, there’s no immediate spoilers for the ending. However, the risk of online leaks always looms. Therefore, it’s wise to exercise caution on social media around the release. As for Cyberleek, this story isn’t over yet. We’ll be monitoring both Take-Two’s legal action and the leaker’s next steps. We’ll keep you updated on this matter.
Note: All claims made by Cyberleek are based on their own statements. They have not been independently verified.
