Installed the Scam mod in GTA 5, but the player himself got cheated!

It’s been years since GTA 5 was released, but modders still keep it quiet. Some add tornadoes, some zombies, and some even disable vehicle friction. Now, PC Gamer writer Joshua Wolens has tried a new experiment: he’s modified GTA 5. Scam The result was so impressive that he wondered if he had just fooled himself!

What is the matter after all?

Joshua currently runs a series called “Los Santos Customs.” In it, he adds a new mod to GTA 5 every day. The goal is clear: either make the game look like GTA 6, or break it completely. Latest victim ScamV Named Mod.

The mod’s creator claims it turns Los Santos into a “digital playground.” So, you can become a cybercriminal, exploit vulnerabilities, use cloned cards, and build your own underground fortune. Sounds impressive, right?

The beginning itself turned out to be a film

Joshua started the game. The loading screen stuttered as usual, sometimes taking 10 seconds to complete and sometimes taking five minutes. Then Franklin arrived at his apartment, only to find an empty void, and began falling down, screaming. According to Joshua, this was all “normal,” because after installing so many mods, such scenes were now a daily occurrence.

The only difference was that this time Franklin had a Duffel Bag. He kept falling into endless darkness with it. Joshua himself doesn’t know where the bag came from. He suspects it’s the result of ScamV.

Mod after mod, and the bag itself came into my hands

The real problem is that Joshua’s GTA 5 is now a mess of mods. His game has flying cars, new interiors, missing exteriors of some buildings, and even a credit rating system. So, ScamV has to compete with all the other mods. A normal installation might have shown this mod in full color, but here it’s mostly just a bag.+

Kafka experience at the bank

A little hope arose when it was learned that now one could go to any bank and talk to the teller and Fake check Joshua excitedly rushed to the bank, but Game simply replied: “You don’t have any counterfeit checks.”

Interestingly, the game doesn’t reveal where the counterfeit checks will come from, or how to obtain them. Joshua called the experience “Kafka-like,” meaning a puzzle with no end in sight, and jokingly gave it five stars. Poor Franklin returned from the bank somewhat embarrassed, having made nothing.

Joshua’s past exploits are no less.

This isn’t the first time they’ve tampered with GTA 5. They’ve previously done the following in the same series:

  • Adding tornadoes to the game
  • Installing so many mods that the game starts running only in windowed mode
  • stop friction of cars
  • Making hot dog vendors actually work
  • Adding a real-life credit check and personal finance system
  • Bringing in zombies for October weather

our vision

Honestly, that’s the true strength of GTA 5. Even after so many years, its modding community keeps it fresh and unique. Even with GTA 6 being all the rage, people are still doing things in old Los Santos that Rockstar probably never imagined. This experiment with ScamV shows that the more mods, the more insane the fun, even if the game crashes every time.

If you try mods in GTA 5, a word of advice: don’t install too many at once, or your Franklin will end up screaming into the void. 😄
